WOMEN’S REALM

Any prejudice that might at one ter the business field should not, in ray opinion, allow herself to think she is handicapped because of her sex. If she does, she immediately saddles herself with an inferiority complex—something we can all get along without.

Women Against Women

It isn’t men women in business must watch out for. hut other wo-

men. It is nearly every woman's experience that whatever double-cross-ing goes on in offices, women are at the bottom of it. The average man,

even when he resents a woman’s position, usually does not go out of his way to plot against her. If a woman holds down a good job, there is always some other woman who is trying to pry her out of it. Naturally there are honest women and it doesn’t at all follow that they cannot be trusted, but business is still too new a game for women to have learned to play it in strict accordance to the rules of the game] We are all playing to win and unfortunately many, both men and women, are not sticklers for conforming to the rules.

In most business deals someone gets the worst of it. Good tradingmeans out-smarting the other fellow. Men are capable of remaining friends in spite of business deals in which one is trying to get the better of the other, but the average woman seems incapable of a purely impersonal attitude., Until she is able to disassociate personalities from her business transactions, she is at a disadvantage, a self-imposed handicap.

There are some unanswerable

I questions. Perhaps whether women [have equal opportunities in business with men may be one of them. Air other more important is, do women make the most of these opportunities?
