Sergeant D. Austin and his wife and family, who have arrived in Tauranga, are guests at Hotel Manor.

Dr. D. Renfrew White, of Blenheim, has been appointed house surgeon at the Tauranga Hospital in succession to Dr. B. W. Nixon, whose resignation was received at the monthly meeeting of the Hospital Board yesterday. Dr. Nixon is waiting to be called up for service with the naval forces.
