POPULAR RESORT

The Shenandoah National Park in the Bine Ridge Mountains of Vir-

ginia again is the country’s number one national park attraction, according to officials of the Virginia Conservation Commission. Figures released by the commission showed that the Shenandoah had 950,807 visitors during the travel year ended September 30, or 90,000 more than visited the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina and Tennessee. The Shenandoah'and Great Smoky Parks have been running first and second in patronage, respectively, since they were opened, according to the Commission.
