Private L. A. Olsen of the N.Z.E.F.* who has been invalided home, is a son of Mr and Mrs E. Olsen of Gate Pa, who have five sons servingPrivate Olsen is due to arrive home to-night.
Mr and Mrs F. G. Jefferson and family, left to-day to spend a fortnight’s holiday in Taupo.
Sergeant D. Austin arrived in Tauranga last evening from Hamilton to take up his new post as officer in charge of the Tauranga police district.
Visitors to Tauranga staying ai the Tauranga Hotel include Misses Wilson and Zeinert, and Messrs Boyd, Melton, Wise, Tipton, Hunter. Stewart, Glazebrook, Madden, Marsh, and Machel.
Guests at the Star Hotel include Dr. Miller and Miss Miller, Mr and Mrs Tapp, Mr and Mrs A. Taylor, M r and Mrs Weightman, Mr and M lB Neilson, Mr and Mrs A. T. Fernenior. and Messrs R. Bennell, Morton, Spencer, H. Pearce, R. Burn, R. J. Hobbs. Wallace, Norris, Aldman, H. Davies, Tombs and H. Somers.
