AIR LINES

ACROSS PACIFIC INCREASE TO TWO FORECAST BY CAPT. P. G. TAYLOR ONE AUSTRALIAN LIKELY New York, Jan. 14 Captain P. G. Taylor, the noted Australian airman, who is on a secret mission to the United States, predicted that Australia and America will soon be linked by Two air lines, one of which will be Australian, says a message from San Francisco. “Australia believes that aviation must be developed on an international basis,” he said, “and landing facilities must be granted by one country to the lines of others. “Australia will certainly welcome the completion of the American line, bringing the Clippers to our shores. I hope avs shall receive the same welcome for an Australian line here. “The necessity for two lines between Australia and the United States is rendered doubly apparent by the developments at present in the Pacific. We feel that even more important is a link between Australia and the United States in a manner to enable both to make the Pacific region what we feel it should be. W© do not want the Pacific to become another Europe.”
