WOMEN'S DIVISION
BRING AND BUT AFTERNOON
The Women's Division of the Farmer's Union recently held a bring and buy afternoon in the Presbyterian Hall. The afternoon opened with the National Anthem, and there were numerous competitions in addition to songs by Mr John Wright and pianoforte selections by Mrs Wright.
Winners of the various compentions were as follows: —Musical parcel, Mrs Blomquist. Bean competition, Mrs Gibbs. Least number of articles in purse, Mrs Jefferson. Cushion competition, Mrs Poole. Cake, Mrs Norris, 4th Avenue. Plum Pudding.—Mrs McGill 1, Mrs McPhail 2, Mrs McKenna' 3. Best Large Bloom. —Mrs Blomquist and Mrs Johnston equal 1, Mrs McKenna and Mrs Meharry equal 2. Small Bloom. —Mrs McPhail 1. Mrs Meharry 2. p os i es . —Mrs McPhail 1, Mrs Jefferson 2, Mrs Johnston 3Floating Bowl. —Mrs Johnston 1. Shoulder Spray.—Mrs Jefferson 1, Mrs Jefferson 2, Mrs Johnston 3.
