WIRE SUPPLIES

Farmers who have been severely hampred in their development operations through inability to obtain needed, supplies of fencing wire will no doubt be pleased to learn that arrangements have been made to import 2400 tons of fencing wire from Canada. It is understood supplies were not obtainable from Australia. The 2400 tons represent only about 60 per cent of the normal annual requirements of barbed wire and 25 per cent of plain wire. Supplies are to be assigned to merchants in proportion to their previous imports.
