GROWING SHORTER
A year ago Emmett P. Blackmore, Jr., applied for admission to the Army Air Corps. “You’re an inch too tall,” examiners told the six-fodt-three applicant.
At home Mr Blackmore practiced before a mirror until a deliberate slump "came natural.” It took an inch and a half from his height. He how enters the final phase of his training at Kelly Field, San Antonio.
