FULLY LATE RATES HELD
A slightly larger yarding of ox beef at the Westfield fat stock sale on Wednesday met with a steady demand. fully late rates being maintained. Extra choice ox beef sold at 36s per 1001 b, and a line of steers from Mr H. E. Reed, Waerenga, made up to £ls ss.
Inquiry was keen for an average entry of cows and heifers and a firm sale resulted at late rates. A line of cows made to £ 10 15s. Prices for a good yarding of calves improved slightly on last week’s rates-' and with steady competition a satisfactory »sale resulted.
