METHODIST CHURCH
LADIES’ GUILD AFTERNOON
The Methodist Ladies’ Guild held a Garden Party on Wednesday at the residence of Mrs Bulmer, First Avenue.
Although the sun did not shine, the day was mild and warm, and the guests spent a very pleasant afternoon on the lawn. Several competitive games were placed, including clock *golf, croquet, etc. The Cake, and Bring and Buy Stalls, under Mrs Harvey’s supervision, were kept busy and soon cleared, and afternoon tea was served in the drawing room. The ladies are to be congratulated on arranging such a pleasant and successful afternoon.
