RECORD KNITTER
MRS JONES OP BRISBANE In the six months since the formation of the Laidley branch of the Australian Comforts Fund, Mrs W. Jones of Brisbane, has knitted — 40 sleeveless cardigans, 25 pairs of socks, 12 scarves, 8 skull-caps, and 3 balaclavas. She arrived at each meeting with half a dozen cardigans—-a fortnight’s work. In a single visit to a picture show she will cast on the stitches and knit half a cardigan, right up to the last inch or so of the shoulder decrease.
