PATROL TAX BURDEN
CONTRACTOR’S PLEA
While exressing sympathy with a contractor who sought to have his agreement amended to meet the increase in the cost of petrol, members of the Waitemata County Council decided that the council was legally unable to grant redress. The imposition of the tax .would mean a considerable increase in a contractor’s costs, said Mr R. Glasgow. The question was whether the council could act. ■
