REGENT “The Shining Hour,” which scored on Broadway, now comes to the screen with a brilliant cast of stars. Joan Crawford, Margaret Sullavan, Robert Young, Melvyn Douglas and Fay Bainter star.., The picture comes to the Regent Theatre to-day for an engagement of two days, andpresents Miss Crawford in a dancing role for the first time since she starred in “Dancing Lady.” Now she is teamed with Tony DeMarco, of the famous theatrical troupe. TOWN HALL A romance between the daughter of a small town newspaper owner and the scapegrace son of the local mayor forms the love story of “The Arkansas Traveller,” which comes to-night to the Town Hall Theatre. The young man is John Beal, the local newspaper editor Bob Burns, and pretty Jean Parker is the girl in the case. Dick Foran and June Travis also appear to-night at the Town Hall Theatre in “Over the Wall,” a melodrama having to do with a man falsely thrown into prison and his sweetheart who believes in him and finally obtains his freedom. Courage and heroism of modern detectives, together with the newest and most efficient methods of police in tracking down desperate criminals and spies, are revealed in Universal’s thrilling l*3-chapter serial drama, “Red Barry,” the first episode of which opens to-night with Buster Crabbe, Frances Robinson and Edna Sedgwick.
