. Miss A. Jones,- late of Taumarunui, who-has been appointed Secretary to the Town Clerk, Mr. R. B. Shearman, has commenced her new duties at Tauranga. Visitors at the Masonic Hotel include Mr and Mrs Carter, Messrs Garrett, Yonstenrea, H, J. Clifton, Pearce and H. D. Clifton. Guests at the Tauranga Hotel include Mrs Campbell, Messrs Burgess, Madden, G. M. Hill, Dickin, Lutz and Johnston. 8 Mr Herbert Webb has received news of the death of his mother and has left immediately for Nelson. , Mr and Mrs Middleton who, until recently have been living at Tauriko, have left Tauranga to take up their residence in Cambridge. Mrs Middleton was a leading figure in musical circles here, and she will be greatly missed. We feel sure we are expressing a popular sentiment when we extend very best wishes for the future to both Mr and Mrs Middleton. The latter was in Tauranga last night for the Coronation ceremony. Mrs .Tudhope has left to spend some itime in Aucklalnd with her mother, Mrs Hesketh. Miss Lindsay Tudhope arrived in Auckland from Sydney by the Wanganella on Wednesday and will stay there for a time. Mi’s A. Skinner paid a short visit to Tauranga this week. She has now returned 5 to Auckland where Mr Skinner is still lying seriously ill. Visitors at the Star Hotel include Mr and Mrs Walsh, Mr and Mrs D. Sutherland, Messrs Clifford, Paterson, Brooking, Peterson, Brooking, Martin, Pink, Laycock, Douglas, Daniel and Cowell.
