ANNUAL MEETING OF DAIRY COMPANY

{From Our Correspondent) The directors' report adopted at the annual meeting of the Dairy Company held in the ‘Parish Hall revealed a decrease in production of over 450 tons which meant a loss'of nearly £ 60,000 to the district. The season’s pay-out over all grades, including cream cartage, interest and Veterinary services, was 16.546 d per lb. The all-in-cost from farm gate to f.o.b. showed an increase from 1.827 d per lb. butterfat to I.SSDd per lb. The sales in the trading department were £49,219, compared with £ 49,873 the year before.

Mundt being chosen to take the places of Messrs Bowen and Chapman who were not seeking re-election. Messrs W. Wickham and R. McGee also contested the ballot, A motion was carried increasing directors’ fees from £ 1 Is and 6d per mile travelling allowance, to £1 11s Gd and 6d per mile travelling allowance.
