VALEDICTORY [From Our Correspondent) The St. Andrew’s Hall was ; , filled to capacity on Wednesday evening, , the occasion being a farewell social !, to the Rev. J. C. McCaw. and. 3^rs ( .„., McCaw by members qi, the Presby,- ~ terian Church and other friends. The Rev. J. C. McCaw, after a ■ period of five years as minister in Te Puke, has been called to the, Upper Hutt district. That he and Mrs McCaw have made many friends and were very popular in the. district was veident by the large attendance present. The Very Rev. T. H. Roseveare of Tauranga presided. During the , evening, bn behalf, of church members, Mr H. J. Gill,, senior elder, presented Mr McCayr with - ChBQUG, . Mr L.. E. Manning, on behalf of the,. School Committee, paid tribute, to the interest Mr McCaw had taken in the welfare of children, both as chairman of the School Committee and as Welfare Officer.- . . Further pleasing .presentations,,, were made by the. Sunday , ‘ School class, by Mr T.'
