Mr T. F. Kerridge returned on Saturday from a trip to Australia.
Advice has been received from the Secretary of the Marine Department of the reappointment of Messrs A. J. Mirrieleea and P. McKenna as Government representatives on the Tauranga Harbour Board for a fUrthor term of three years.
Visitors at the Masonic Hotel include Messrs R. Atkinsen, Tapp, Boyd, Martin, Palmer, C. Atkinson, Michell, Fife and Coombes.
Visitors at the Tauranga Hotel include Mr and Mrs Place, Mrs Ifwersen, Mr Albertson and Mr Alexander.
Visitors at the Star Hotel include Mr and Mrs Robinson, Master Robinson, Mr and Mrs Williams, Messrs Myers, W. Martin, Ellis, Nairn and Howe.
Recent guests at the Domain Hotel included Mr and Mrs Lowe, Mrs Martin (Opotiki), Mrs Johnson (Hamilton), Mrs Beaver (Matamata), Mr Price (Te Puke), Messrs Gordon, Brown, Adams, Mr and Mrs Bradbury, Miss McLeod, Mrs Rout (Auckland), Mr and Mrs Carroll (Te Rapa), Mr and Mrs Leathern (Pokeno).
On the occasioiUof the resignation of Mr E. E. Pratt from the Tauranga railway staff, the stationmaster, Mr M. Curran, presented him with a wallet on behalf of the other members. Mr Curran also expressed best wishes for Mr Pratt’s success in his venture of farming in the King Country, his remarks being endorsed by other speakers. Mr Pratt suitably replied.
