LIVE STOCK FARMING
BRITAIN’S POLICY
FACTOR IN COUNTRY’S DEFENCE
EMERGENCY PLANS Rugby, March 31 The Minister of Agriculture, Mr \\. S. Morrison, speaking to the Central Landowners' Association, emphasised the importance of live stock farming in the country's defence policy. “In respect to emergency agricultural plans for war,” he said, “we are in an infinitely better state of preparedness than in 1914. The Government plan is to develop commodity prosperity and price structure of agriculture, believing that, if the farmers are given the chance, they will produce food as it is required.”
