School Holidays. Secondary school students will enjoy three days’ holiday less in the coming term vacation than they would have under the original arrangements. Instead of breaking up on Wednesday, May 12, they will begin the vacation on the following ; Friday, May 14, and while ordinarily ! students wore allowed to return on Tuesday at the end of the holidays, they will now he required to be back on Monday, May 31. The second term holidays will begin on Saturday, August 21, and will end on Monday, September 6, instead of the usual , Tuesday, ' Publication of Lessons. j Following the closing of the schools owing to me incidence of ini' fantilc* paralysis, primary school ! headmasters met at Palmerston S North on Monday and arranged for j the publication of lessons in the local I newspapers on lines already adopted |by Wellington schools. There are 1 now 17 cases, including two suspects, in the Palmerston North hospital, lour cases being from the city.
