CLOSING SCHOOLS
Sir,—l see by the New Zealand Herald that thirty-five schools have been closed on account of the paralysis epidemic. It has spread more rapidly since the schools re-opened, and is drawing nearer every clay to our little town. Better a few lessons unlearned than, as some one so aptly put it some time ago, some poor children dragging helpless paralysed limbs all the rest of their lives. “M. 8.”
