AMERICAN MACHINE NOW NEARING COMPLETION DETAILS A MILITARY SECRET Washington, April 17 The Army Air Corps announces that a 20-ton bomber, described as the largest and most powerful military aeroplane constructed in the world is nearly complete at the Boering factory, Seattle. A test flight will he undertaken within a fortnight. The machine has been under construction for three years. The details are a military secret. Officers say it will startle the world with its altitude ability. The bomber is described as a flying fortress. It has complete living quarters on board. New Passenger ’Plane Washington, April 16 Orders have been placed for aeroplanes to carry 125 passengers, according to a statement by Mr E. S. Gorrell, president of the Air Transport Association of America, before a Congressional air postal committee. Mr Gorrell added that the machines would be twice the size of the largest ones which are in use at present.
