HIGH SCHOOL
CRICKET MATCH In the match played on the Domain on Saturday, the Tauranga District High School team defeated the Katikati team by 72 runs on the first innings. The hoys were fortunate in having a good wicket which had been specially prepared for them by Mr R. Bamherry, who also assisted with the luncheon arrangements. The luncheon was supervised by a number of senior girls of the school who had offered their services in this connection, and who proved themselves very capable helpers. It was pleasing to see a number of parents present at the match as this is very encouraging for the boys. The following are the detailed scores; TAURANGA First Innings. G. Riggir, b Mountier 23 I.
