Mr C. H. Burnett, M.P., returned from Auckland to Tauranga on Saturday. •He will return to Te Aroha to-morrow to attend a general meeting of members of the Chamber of Commerce in Te Acoha, when the question of the tepid swimming hath for the domain will be further discussed. Mr Burnett will return to Tailranga on Wednesday. Sergeant A. Henderson, who has been attending the sitting of the Supreme Court at Aucuisud. returned to Tauranga on Saturday. Mr P. F. Carter has received a cable from his son Mr George Carter at present in London, that he has been successful in passing for his first mate’s certificate, and is leaving for Hamburg, where he joins the AngloSaxon Petroleum Company’s m.v. Circeshell as second mate. Miss C. Renshaw and Miss A. Bradmore have returned from a visit to Wellington. Guests at the Commercial Hotel include Mr and Mrs D’Arcy (Wanganui), Mr and Mrs Soler (Auckland), Mr and Mrs Davidson (Te Kuiti), Messrs Rowe, Spry, Mansfield, Gill, Dobbs and Steele. Visitors at the Masonic Hotel are Mr and Mrs Dixon, Messrs Clarke, Cassidy, Welsh, Bigger, Davis, Ray, Ashton, Spottiswoode, and Williams. Mrs T. Floyd, of Auckland, .is spending a holiday with relatives in Tauranga. Visitors at the Star Hotel are Mr and Mrs Rowlings,. Mr and Mrs Percy, Mrs AVatenhall, Messrs Olsen, Bishop, De Castro, Davis, Hall, Baddeley, Burns, Forsyth, and Denn.
