During the afternoon the Ladies’ Committee served afternoon le* which was much appreciated by all. Results of tiie Harris Fours were as follows: First Heat.—.l. Ildte (stroke). Fra Plummer, R. Morpeth, S. Crabhc holt John Plummer -(stroke). J, Jam':-. 9. Anderson, ’ Kingi Mabaka, by one length. Second Heat. S. J. finillh (stroke), G. Silvester. S. Ahde'sW. Kingi Mahaka beat T. D. Harvey (stroke), E. Silves’er, J. Work. JJames by six inches. This was lb 2 best race of the day. In the final between Smith and Heke, Heko was just able to get awiy from his opponent, in the last fl r,v yards to gain the judge’s verd'rt. The winning crew was J. lick® (stroke).
