Miss Dorothy Wills leaves Tauranga on Monday for Wellington, where she joins the Tainui en route to London. *
Dr and Mrs 11. Bertram, of Rotorua, will arrive back from Sydney by the Mariposa to-morrow.
Guests at the Masonic Hotel are Miss Salisbury, Miss Davies, Messrs Denize, if. J. Clifton, Brown, Long, Griffiths, Forster, 11. D. Clifton, Barton, Smyth, McFarland, Newcombe and Jacobson.
Visitors at the Star Hotel are Mr and Mrs Bartholomew, Messrs Stewart, Halk, Towsey and Noakes.
The Rev. H. K. Archdall, formerly headmaster of King’s College, Auckland, has accepted a position as chaplain at Wellington College, Berkshire, England. He has also been appointed a member of the research committee of the Institute of Christion Education, in London.
Captain A. K. Watchlin, 0.8. E., H.D., R.N.R., lias left Australia for Scotland, where he will supervise the building of, and later bring to Now Zealand, a new vessel for Hie Watchlin Line,
Presentations of a camera and a pair of field glasses were made to Mr A. Miller, export buyer for Messrs W. and H. Fletcher, (N.Z.), Limited, at a dinner given in bis honour in Hamilton this week prior to his departure on an extended visit to England. The presentations were made respective on behalf of the export buyers of the Waikato ami the employees of the firm—Mr Miller resided for many years in Tauranga and has a large circle of friends throughout the Bay of Plenty.
