To begin the season the Association actually had debts to the amount of £ 4 5s Id. We now have a clear sheet, except for 5s owing for advertising and there is a credit balance in the Post Office Savings Bank for £ 3 19s 3d.

‘‘The competitions last season, were very keenly contested, particularly the men’s games. The seven-a-side hockey and running events by both ladies and men were extremely interesting, etc., the points gained in the running events being particularly close.

“The results of last season’s competitions are as follows: Rivals won the Harris Cup and the Jordan Cup. Old Girls won the Merryweather Cup and the Randle Rose Bowl. True Blues won both Cups in the seven-a-side hockey and running events, viz., the Butler Cup and the Kent Cup. Corinthians won the Innes Cup and Veterans won the Press Cup. “I have applied to the Domain Board for the use of the grounds for this season, but so far have received no reply. I have also written to the School Committee requesting that hockey he reinstated in school sports. “As your umpire last year I must say that I enjoyed myself very much and I sincerely tried to give an unbiassed decision in every case. I regret very much that I will ho unable to umpire for you this season.
