TE PUKE NOTES
FOOTBALL MATCH,
(From Our Correspondent)
The first football match of the season .to be played at Te Puke will take place on Jubilee Park on Wednesday next, when a fifteen representing the Te Puke Dairy Company, will meet that of the Tauranga Dairy Company, the proceeds to he in aid of charity.
The following team will represent Tc Puke: —C. D. Knight, F. Kelsey, R. Maria, W. Yallance, J. Gordon, R. Ashby, K. Evans, A. E. Wagner, R. N. Kelly, C. Jackson, M. Hosking, L. Pagan, A. Gordon and W. Dabney. Emergencies: forwards, E; Findsen, J. E. Curtin; backs, R. A. Stuart. BASKETBALL CLUB. After a practise held during the week, the following office-bearers and committee were appointed: Prresident, Mrs Hookey; Hon. Secretary, Miss B. Blaker; Committee, Misses M. Pilcher, E. Causley, B. Fagan, K. Burt, B. Butcher, G. Ryan, E. Tanner.
