Fire Brigade. Owing to the death of King George the Tauranga Fire Brigade has cancelled the medal run which was scheduled for to-morrow evening. , A Correction. We regret that a misprint occurred in the report which we published in our issue of the 18th inst. of the annual meeting of the District Council of the D.S.C. Movement. The presentation of the chiming clock to Mr Moffatt was made by Mrs R. Neilson, not by Mr R. Neilson as stated.

Cars Damaged. Two cars came into collision yesterday afternoon at the corner of Roberts Street and Devonport Road. None ot the occupants was injuied and the cars were slightly damaged.

South Island Cargo. Included in the cargo discharged by the Northern S.S. Company’s Otimai at the Railway Wharf to-day, are shipments from South Island ports which were transhipped from the ra.v. Port Waikato. The Port Waikato will commence loading at Dunedin on Wednesday next.

Sheep Traffic. A motorist who drove through from Gisborne yesterday passed twelve mobs of sheep on the road between that place and Matata. There were three thousand head in one mob.
