Two Fixtures on Satur- ’ day Next GAMES AT TE PUKE AND TAURANGA At the meeting of the Management Committee of the Tauranga Rugby Union, held on Monday evening, the following business was dealt with. It was decided that a request from the Walhl High School Old Boys Club to play a senior and a junior team at Tauranga on August 17, be accepted for that date. Technical College Old Boys. It was decided that a request from the Technical College Old Boys Club, of Auckland, to play a,match agdlnst the Tauranga junior representatives he accepted, the date to be arranged, Matakana Juniors. It was decided that the Matakana junior team be struck out of the junior competition, and that two points be allotted to each team they would have met. Members of the Matakana junior team who wish to join up with other Clubs, may do so, providing that application is made in writing by the Secretaries of the Clubs concerned, and providing that the applications are approved by- the Management Committee. Junior Competition. ■ The withdrawal of the Matakana junior team from the Junior Competition, and the decision that 1 two points be allotted to each team they would have met, puts the three leading teams in the following interesting position: Judea, 19 points, with one game to play, against Cadets Old Boys. Matapihi, 18 points, with one game to play,-against Athletics. Cadets Old Boys, 14 points, with three games to play, against Judea, Country and Omokoroa.

The train will leave the Strand at 1.16 p.m. All players must report at the Tauranga Hotel by 1 p.m. sharp. The managers are Messrs Hardy and Duncan. Shalfoon Shield.— Tauranga junior representatives will meet Rotorua, in the next ’ challenge for the Shalfoon Shield, on the Domain ground at 2.15. Attention of players is specially drawn to the early starting time. The managers are Messrs Hansel, Culiimore and-Foger-ty. ■
