BAY OF PLENTY TEAM SELECTED. The following players have been selected by the Bay of Plenty Union to tour the East Coast, Poverty Bay, and Districts; C. Francis, R. Lees, E. Howell, V. M°°re and T. Whitely (Rangitaiki). J. Graham, B. Jacobs, Whiupurei (Rotorua). Morgan, C. Newth, Pohipi and L. Kelly (Opotikl). H. Potaka and E. Joyce (Te Puke). E. Moody and J. Broderick (Whakatane). I. Tangltu, r,r. Rhodes and D. Sinclair (Tauranga). The team will leave on June 28 and will play as follows: East Coast, at Ruatoria, on June 29. Wairoa, at Wairoa, on July 3. Poverty Bay, at Gisborne, on July 6. . The team will return to the Bay on July 7. . BAY OP PLENTY RUGBY UNION. A meeting of the executive Committee of the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union was held at Te Puke on Tuesday last. Present: Messrs J. A. Guinness (Chairman), J. E. Alexander, and C. Walker (Secretary). Mr H. S. Riggir was unable to atetnd, but was made conversant with the business to be transacted prior to the meeting. Accounts totalling 19s were passed for payment. • An application from the Thames Valley Union for a date for the representative match at Rotorua was referred to a meeting of selectors to be held at Whakatane for discussion" and recommendation. A further letter from the King Country Union in respect to playing a representative fixture at Tauranga on a Wednesday was also referred to the selectors for a report on the suitability of a mid-week match. School Football Grant.— The New Zealand Rugby Union forwarded a cheque for £35. It was decided to allocate this as follows:—£ 4 10s each to Tauranga, Te Puke, Rotorua. Rangitaiki, Whakatane and Opotiki Sub-Unions; £3, eacli to Apanui, Galatea and Taupo Sub-Unions. £ 1 was added to the grant to effect this division. Prince of Wales Cup Match.-—Ad-vice-was received from the Poverty Bay Union that T. Whitely, E. Howell and Pohipi had been selected to play at Gisborne on June 22. It was decided to communicate with the Poverty Bay. Union regarding transport for selected players. Shield Matches'.— The following dates for the first three Shield matches were fixed as follows:

Rotorua v. Rangitaiki, July 1J Apanui v. Holders, July 20. Te Puke v. Holders. July 27.
