The payment made by the Waikato Valley Dairy Co., Ltd., for June butterfat will be at the rate of tenpence per lb. for finest grade.
The Tauranga High School first fifteen played a football team of exschoolboys on the domain yesterday afternoon and the former won by sixteen points to ten. Mr Breward was referee.
The Maori Hockey Federation’s fourth annual tournament is being held at Ruatoki. From 600 to 700 players are present, in addition to many hundreds of spectators from all parts of the East Coast. It will be the largest competition yet held bv the Federation.
The Whakatane Press says tne soundings taken in the eastern channel of the Whakatane Harbour entrance over the past two months have ■'h-.wn the satisfactory working condition of the bar, Loth the harbourmaster and the launchman reporting to last Friday’s meeting of the Harbour Board that the soundings have recorded bine feet and over.
