ANZAC DAY

MEMORIAL SERVICES OX TUESDAY. Tuesday next, the 25th inst., will be observed throughout the Empire as “Anzao Day." Following the usual custom locally, a memorial service will be held in'the Town Hall at 2.15, a procession of Returned Soldiers leaving the School at 1.45. The clergymen of the various denominations will take part in the service. and the address will be given by Mr L. R. Wilkinson. President of the local branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. A cenotaph will be erected at the corner of the town hall, and the wreaths placed there will he taken afterwards to the various cemeteries. A service for children will be held in the town hall on Anzac morning at 10.30, and the address at that service will be given by the Rev. J. W. Smyth.
