LOW GRADE ORE TREATMENT AT THAMES. Three shifts are now at work oh the Kuranui-Golden Hills Co. Ltd.’s low grade ore treatment plant at Thames and material is being put through continuously, though the machinery is not yet working to anything like its full capacity (says the Thames Star). AVhen operations are in full swing shortly, more more will he engaged to keep the mills going. The machinery and plant so far have given every satisfaction. There will be no attempt to seek out rich patches of ore, but the material will be put through as it comes_ to the feeder, and the initial returns are eagerly awaited in local mining circles. It is recognised that success for this venture will have a most important influence on the development of the extensive low-grade ores of the Thames goldfield.
