THE LAST TRIBUTE. i A very large and representative gathering of town and country rest- , dents attended the funeral of the late | Mr George Frederick lies yesterday < afternoon. An impressive service was held in Holy Trinity Church, the ; coffin being covered with numerous i beautiful wreaths. The pall-bearers were members of the various football Clubs. viz.. Messrs 1. Taugitu j (Maori Clubs), C. Cameron, J. Dun-j can and A. Tassell (Athletics Club), | and W. Mansel and C. Haua. (Cadets ■ Old Roys). The chief mourners were j members of the family. The services j in the church and at the graveside j were conducted by the Rev. 0. S. 0. ; Gibson. Amongst those who attended ; the funeral were Messrs J. A. ; Guinness, H. S. Riggir, H. Old- : ing, and E. J. Browning (Rugby • Union), His Worship the Mayor, Mr B. C. Robbins, and Messrs A. E. New-1 sham, F. J. Allely, J. M. Daines, C. ! W. Boak, and R. B. Shearman (Bor-j ough Council), A. Stewart and L. j Green (Hockey Association), S. G. | Willcock (Ray of Plenty Jockey j Club), A. F. Tanks (Hospital Board), I F. W. Ream (Tauranga. Branch of the Farmers’ Union), P. T. Ream and j L. Crowley (Tauranga Co-operative j Dairy Association), B. P. Andrews (High School Committee), J. Padlie (Fire Brigade), A. C. Isherwood (Agricultural and Pastoral Association), and A. J. Collins (sporting organisations of Te Puke district). All the football Clubs were represented, and the cortege was a very lengthy

A large number of beautiful wreathe were received from numerous friends in the town and country and in Rotorua, Invercargill and Auckland, also from the Tauranga Rugby Union and the Cadets Old Boys, Athletics and Te Puna Football Clubs. Over two hundred telegrams were received from sympathisers all over the Dominion.
