Dalgety and Company, Limited, held the usual fortnightly stock sale at Mataraata on Wednesday, when a medium yarding of stock came forward. The whole yarding of pigs changed hands under keen competition at prices equal to late rates. -Values .-were;—Cattle: Light Holstein steers, £3 4s; light tut Holstein heifers, £2 19s: medium fat cows, £2 3s to £2 7s; fair-conditioned cows, £1 10s to £1 15s; boner cows, £1 5s to £1 10s; small cows, 10s to 17s: potter bulls. £1 10s to £2 ss: small bulls, 5s to 17s Gd. Pigs; Medium baconers, £2 to £2 2s; light baronets and heavy porkers, £1 14s to £1 IDs; medium porkers, £1 10s to £1 13s; light, £1 7s to £1 Ds; best stores, £1 3s Gd to £1 5s Gd; slips, 14s to 18s; best weaners. 13s; others, 5s to 10s Gd; Tamworlh boars, 6 mths., £2 2s to £2 4s. Sheep: Two and four-tooth wethers, 11s 4d; small two-tooth wethers. Ss 4d; aged ewes, 4s 2d to 5s Id; others, 3s 3d; store woolly lambs, 6s Id to Ss Gd; small woolly lambs, 4s Id to 4s 7d.
