SWIMMING CARNIVAL. ' The programme of events has no* been issued for the Swimming Carnival to be held at To Puke on Wed- ■■ ■/ nesday, Bth March. The chief events are;—Bay of Plenty Championship ' Relay (4 men}, Bay of Plenty Too Yards Championship, Bay of Pi eflty 200 Yards Handicap (open), club 1 Championship (50 yards), Four races for boys and girls ol various ages are listed, each r« C6 carrying a cup as first priae. There will also be several diving events, a dual relay, 50 yards ladies’ handicap (open), and numerous novelty • events. Entries close with the Secretary Mr W. J. McCullough, on Sat. urday, 4th March. MILITARY CAMP. ; 2 ] A squad of machine-gunners, attached to a company of the sth Haurakl Regiment, will leave To Puk e this afternoon for Rotorua, whem they will spend the next week at the ‘ Military Camp. The Te Puke men kare under the charge of Lieut. G If Wilkins. LIFE SAVING CLUB. The Te Puke Life Saving Club has decided to send a team to Auckland ; - to compete in the 4-men alarm run’ for the Laidlaw Cup, which tarries with it the Auckland Provincial Beltman’s Championship. The compel!, tion will be held at Mission Bay on ’ Sunday, March sth.
