COUNTRY PAYS MORE. The fact that city power boards are able to buy their power In bulk from the Government power stations at a lower price than the . country boards was again commented on at the February meeting of the Thames Valley Power Board. Before the board was correspondence from the members of Parliament; for the district who made stereotyped replies to representations by the board asking them to support the efforts of the Hawke’s Bay Power Board to have the price for power made the same to all boards. In a letter from the Waitomo Power .Board the suggestion was made that the country power boards should discuss this matter at a conference at Hamilton on Tuesday, February 28.
After members had spoken in support of joint action by all the country power boards, it was decided that the chairman, deputy-chair-man, manager and engineer should represent the hoard at this meeting at Hamilton.
