An American has given a recreation ground in Westoning, in Bedfordshire, as a memorial to his sister. The average amount received daily in British post offices was almost as large last year as in 1930, and much larger than in 1924. In 1924 the daily receipt was £115,000; last year it was £113,000. In the first three months of this year it was a little less, but was still as high as £127,000.
A beautiful day by the beautiful sea, A beautiful girl 'neath a beautiful tree, A beautiful gamp and a beautiful frock, A beautiful pose on a beautiful rock, A beautiful time till a thunderstorm burst, A beautiful stampede to reach shelter first, A beautiful drenching find cold to endure— Then came Woods’ Gi.'eat Peppermint Cure.
