YACHTING.
RACES FOR SEVEN-FOOTERS. A race for seven-footers for a trophy donated by Mr P. F. Carter, was sailed recently. The officers on the wharf were Messrs W. Waters and P. Simmonds. The race was won by M. Wilson’s Vestal. Zev and Dottrell also started, but did not complete. French Cup. Another race, the first for the French Gup, was also sailed, and resulted: — M. Wilson’s Vestal, 6m 1 R. Mackrell’s Petrel, scr. 2 Zev and Dottrell also started, but did not finish. The second race for the French Cup will be sailed this afternoon.
