TE PUNA SPORTS.

SUCCESSFUL MEETING. The Te Pune Sports Club held their annual sports on Easter Monday under ideal weather conditions. The meeting, which was a great success, took place in Messrs Armstrong Bros.’ paddock. There was a large attendance, visitors being present from quite a long distance. The events for the day started at 11 a.m. and the programme was an interesting one. The following were the results: —- Te Puna Riding Handicap, 100yds. G. Ormsby 1, R. Parkinson 2. In the evening a very enjoyable dance was held in the local hall, a large crowd attending. Mr Charlton’s Orchestra supplied excellent music. The masters of ceremonies were Messrs J. Armstrong, J. Lochhead and G. and O. Ormsby. The sports show a credit balance of £2O.
