WEDDING.

KIDDIE —PAUL. A very pretty and popular wedding was solemnized in the Tauranga Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 23, when Miss Rosabel Mary Paul, second daughter of Mr and Mrs P Paul, of Whakatane, and late of Nantyffyllon. Wales, and Mr Alex Kiddie, youngest son of Mr and Mrs 'W. Kiddie, of Tauranga, were united in the bonds of matrimony. The church was beautifully decorated with hydrangeas a.nd Michaelmas daisies, and the bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr Harold Paul, took her place under a “wedding’ boll” arranged with white festoons. Her dress was of white crepe-de-chine, and was made with deep v-shaped yoke of radium lace, the long skirt being fully flared, and the long sleeves being finished with a deep frill of the material. A bridal veil of embroidered tulle, prettily arranged with a iilldt of orange blossoms* was worn, and the bride carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations, belladonna, lilies, and maid-en-hair fern. Miss Mario Paul attended her sister as bridesmaid, and wore a frock of peach-coloured satin, ankle-length, made with long sleeves, and full-flared skirt; with a hat of lace-straw to match. Her bouquet was of pink carnations and zinnias with asparagus fern. Little Joyce Padlie, who wore a frilled frock of rose crepe-de-chine, with a tulle cap to match, and carried a silver and blue basket of pink and white dahlias and roses, was a flower girl. The best man was Mr Scott Davidson. The officiating minister was the Rev. C. R. Taylor, and the wedding music was played by Mrs Christian. Mrs Kiddie, mother of the bridegroom, wore a navy silk ensemble, with hat to match. The bride’s goiug-away costume was of navy blue, with white crepe-de-chine blouse and white felt hat. The happy pair left by train for Auckland, and hope later to take up their residence at Hikurangi.

Miss Paul had been the guest of honour at several functions during the weeks preceding her marriage. A “kitchen evening” was given by the Methodist' Bible Class members, a.t the home of Miss Eva Simpson. On March 11 the Foresters’ Lodge, of which Miss Paul was a member, held a social evening, and presented her with a handsome jardiniere. The Methodist Church Choir, to which Miss Paul had belonged for over six years, held a social evening on March 15, and made her the recipient of a silver sandwich tray, and two silver napkin rings. Mrs Padlie also gave a farewell party in Miss Paul’s honour.
