FATAL ERROR.

A young woman employed by Dr Stevens, of Gladesville, Sydney, was accidentally poisoned on March 12 and died the following day. The victim of the accident, Miss Gwen Jackson, was left alone at the surgery and while examining some of the drugs, she picked up a bottle of phosphorus, and, thinking it contained malt, swallowed some. When Mrs Stevens arrived home she found the girl distressed. The doctor prescribed for her. Later she was taken to hospital and further treated, and although at one time her condition showed definite improvement, she relapsed and died.
