WOOD-CHOPPING EVENT. Sydney, March 28. Brilliant weather prevailed in Sydnely to-day and enormous crowds were attracted to the Royal Show wherb the ring and other spectacular events were greatly appreciated. W. Green (New Zealand) won the Australian wood-chopping championship (15-inch log) from Ehlert and Winkle (New South Wales). Appo was fourth. The winner’s time was 525.
