HORSES IN DEMAND.
The demand for horses, which started some months ago, is continuing, a horse dealer told a Christchurch Sun reporter, but horses cannot successfully compete with motor vehicles until the breed is improved —a matter of five years or so. The principal buyers of horses at the moment are milkmen and carriers.
