lAJRICH LOSES ON FOUL. Sydney, March 13 Making a. fierce swing at ■;Walter Browning last night in the wrestling contest at Leichhardt Stadium in the fifth round Tom Lurich connected with the jaw and lost the bout on a foul
Lurich stood in the centre of the ring wildly gesticulating to the crowd which was hooting him, but he was prevailed upon to leave. Trouble, however, was in store for him. As he approached the dressingroom, a spectator attacked him, but the police quelled the brewing trouble by removing the offender from the premises.
Browning gained the first fall in the second round with the Boston crab after he had given Lurich a bad time with his cruel rabbit punches. In the fourth round Lurich applied the leg-scissors to the body, and gripped his opponent so securely that Browning was compelled to submit. In round five Lurich excelled in the art, but he paid the penalty of disqualification.
