ELECTRICITY FOR FARMS
Reduction in Price of Power. DECISION BY BOARD. The Tauranga. Electric Power Board has decided to reduce the tariff on milking motors as from April 1. 1932. The new tariffs are as follows: SCALE B. First 200 units per quarter, 4d per unit. (Present rate 4id-) Second 200 units per quarter, 3d per unit. (Present rate 3id) All over 400 units per quarter, lid per unit. SCALE C. All units. 4d per unit. (Present rate, 4id.) The total reduction amounts, approximately, to £9OO over the Board’s district. The Borough Council was approached with a view to reducing its price for bulk current supplied to milking motors, but decided on AVednesday night that it could not grant the Board’s request. Despite this decision of the Council, the Board has decided to make the concessions and will have to stand (he total cost without any special assistance from the Borough.
