HOSPITAL POLICY.
PALMERSTON NORTH BOARD’S PROTEST. The proposals of Dr Campbell Begg, of Wellington, for changing the hospital policy of the Dominion, and which have been sponsored by the Wellington Hospital Board, were discussed at length at this week’s meeting of the Palmerston North Hospital Board by the Chairman, Mr J. K. Hornblow.
At the last meeting of the board it was decided to circularise other boards throughout the Dominion, protesting against certain features of the proposals adopted. Yesterday replies were received from a considerable number of boards supporting the Palmerston North protests. A circular letter was received from the executive of the Hospital Boards' Association, suggesting that a conference should be held at Wellington in June, when Dr Begg’s proposals could he considered thoroughly.
