GERMAN AIRWOMAN ARRIVES AT DARWIN
Escort of Three Flying Boats. FLIGHT ROUND THE WORLD. Darwin, March 22 A German airwoman, Fraulein Beinhorn arrived at Darwin to-day from Batavia. Three Royal Air Force Southampton flying-boats from Sinapore, which accompanied Fraulein Beinhorn over the Timor Sea. also arrived. The flying-boats alighted in Fanny Bay, Fraulein Beinhorn was welcomed by a large crowd. She wore a flying helmet, a black and white striped woollen skirt and a cream woollen jacket. She is a jolly, friendly, girl and speaks English perfectly and is making a solo flight round the world.
