RESIGNATION OF ACTING* CAPTAIN. At a recent meeting of the Bor Scouts and Girl Guides ExpcuUwthere were present: Commission® Boyd, Mesdam.es Bowyer and JonesRev. C. R. Taylor, and Messrs K«S* nedy, Mearnes, Carswell and Chris' tiau. In the absence of the Chairman« the Committee, Commissioner Boyd was elected to the chair. Apologies were received from Messrs B. C. Robbins and S. G. WIU4O&, A letter was read from the JWC. R. Taylor, resigning the office« Acting-Captain of the Boy ScouS; owing to the pressure of work. Mt Taylor explained that it was imt 0 * sible for him to give the time Bfr cessary. Mrs Jones moved, and Commissi*® - er Boyd seconded—That the resign* - tion be accepted with regret.—Carried,

Mrs Bowyer moved and Mr MeafM* seconded—That Mr Kempster beafpreached and requested to take position of Acting-Scoutmaster.— motion was generally supported aB« carried unanimously.
