VISIT OF AUCKLAND TEAM,

A meeting of the Te Puke m Centre of the Royal Lite Savings, ciety was held in Mr Miller’s n>«. deuce. The Sub-Centre decided to gmt. antee £6 towards the expenses t( the Auckland team. Subject to permission being & taiued from the Te Puke Town Board and the Auckland team being able to be present, it was decided to holt a swimming carnival in the Te M ( Baths on Easter Monday night, The programme drawn up for a* ter Sunday at Mount Maungaui comprises: Demonstrations by visiting surf team, competitions between the three local clubs, and- competition for the Stewart Cup, which Is to t-e awarded for the best exhibition of resuscitation and promotion of warmtli. , ‘

It, was decided that u collection tie taken up on the beach on Sunday afternoon t o help defray expenses cl visiting Auckland team. The Takapuna-Milford combined team will give a display at the Tanranga Regatta on Saturday next g* 2.30. The team consists of A. C. Faulkner (captain), S. Higgins, 0. Cameron, N. Galbraith, R, C. Sillford (Taka puna), F. Wells,,?. Double, S. Bacon and R. Sharp (JOford). The reel at the Mount will be available for the demonstration. The Taura.nga Club, which is alliated to theS uh-Centre. has chosen light blue with a royal blue band, its registered colours. The design on the band is a striking one andii set off with a representation olt reel and the letters “T.A.S.LS.C."
